Broome

Broome was probably the most liveable town on the WA coast so far. It is quite tropical looking and reminded us of Darwin. Cable Beach deserves its fame as it is really nice. There was actually some small waves here so we went body surfing. We were forced to stay at a caravan park for five days as we were waiting for our new tent to arrive. When it finally did we couldn't get out of there fast enough though as we were now headed for the Kimberleys and the Gibb River Road which we had been told was now open.
Before we left we did a major service on the bikes incl. a new front tyre for me and a badly needed rear sprocket for Mark.
