One of the benefits of woofing at El Questro meant we got the tours for free. So we decided to go on the Chamberlain Gorge cruise one afternoon. It was nice, especially the free champagne! An old station hand who has worked there for many years, Buddy, told some stories about the station etc and he was very funny! We had a good time just cruising along on the river sipping our champagne.
Because of all the rain they had had the river had completely changed. What used to be tree covered river banks were now full of rocks that had been swept up river and dead trees floating in the water. We of course had only seen it this way so we thought it was still pretty.
