Fraser's Hill

The ride to Fraser's hill was down right a highlight of the trip so far. Leaving KL in the ordinary weather soon let up to clear skies, or as clear as they can be for this time of year being the monsoon season. Once we hit the turnoff from the main highway we had a 40km ride on one off the best roads we have ever encountered. The best part was that it was almost empty, dry and endless bends all the way to the top. There were countless waterfalls and the odd tree fallen onto the road to miss but that was it. We were in riding heaven! The town of Fraser's Hill is almost like a movie set taken from the English countryside but situated in the middle of the Malaysian highlands. We found accommodation easily if not a tad pricey but best of all not a main tourist destination as it is a hard place to get to without your own transport. We did manage to meet a couple from Perth who managed to hitchhike their way there. Didn't really do a whole lot here apart from chill out, walk around the town and Sanne having a go for the first time at archery and killing it! The main thing was to just sit back and enjoy some cool weather which was a bloody god send after the humidity of KL.

This was a beautiful dam at the base of Fraser's Hill

The ride to the top of Fraser's was epic, no cars, no rain and endless corners!

Even better it was one way for the last 10km's

This little village could be any taken from an English town setting.

First bit of exercise in ages...on a paddle boat! Very rock n' roll!

Sanne's first ever crack at archery, she was a pro or could have just been beginners luck!

Enjoying a cold one in the cold.

The ride down was just as good as the ride up if not a little chilly.
